Field Trips

Field Trips & Experiential Learning

Field trips are an important part of our educational program, providing students with meaningful opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom. Through carefully planned trips, students explore museums, cultural sites, outdoor environments, and educational venues that enrich curriculum topics and bring lessons to life. Field trips are designed to be both educational and engaging, supporting academic growth across all grade levels.

We are grateful for the involvement of our parent volunteers who generously serve as drivers and chaperons. Their support helps make these experiences possible, builds lasting memories, and strengthens connections between students, families, and the school.

Field trips are offered to our students from grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our Patriots have gone to Discovery Cube, Nixon Library, Heritage Museum, Tour of In-N-Out, Olvera Street, Centennial Farms. Overnight retreats are offered starting in 5th grade, where 5th & 6th graders are able to gather in Oakhurst. JH/HS students kick off their school years in Oakhurst as well. Specific trips are planned in the 4th grade where our Patriots participate in a SCY (Sacramento, Coloma & Yosemite) trip.

Our junior high students have an amazing opportunity to participate in an educational trip where students visit Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Amish Country, and New York City. This immersive experience allows students to explore the foundation of our nation and gain a deeper understanding of the historical events and landmarks that have shaped the United States.

Elementary Field Trips

I want to say a big thank you to all the teachers and staff for being intentional in teaching the kids Truth. From teaching from a biblical worldview and comparing it to other worldviews, to teaching about God’s absolute truth through VBS and the musical, to wanting to teach the children about their identity in Christ at Oakhurst. I have so much peace and comfort knowing that the school is supporting us parents regarding this topic, especially considering this age of relativism and confusion. Thank you for all you do for God and for the kids! - Parent Testimony
