About our Preschool
It is the philosophy of Heritage Christian Preschool to teach and develop the whole child in a loving and nurturing environment. When we plant the seed of Jesus’ love, we cultivate a foundation that supports the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
We believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children can learn. Our preschool programs provide inclusive settings that recognize children’s varied abilities, interests, needs, and learning styles.
We recognize that parents are the child’s first teachers. Children learn best when parents are involved in their educational programs. The primary bridge between home and school is the involvement of family and community.
We believe children learn best through meaningful play. Our play-based, child-centered program reflects the integration of spiritual, physical, cognitive, social-emotional, language, self-help, and aesthetic areas for the total development of the child. Meaningful play encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving, which allows individual growth and development of a positive self-image. Our curriculum enhances the loving and nurturing environment of structured group activities, individualized learning, play, and numerous engaging activities to encourage the child’s development.
Our preschool patriots will enjoy daily circle time, chapel, socialization, and many fun activities, along with Art, fine and gross motor skills, Music, Bible, pre-reading skills, listening and Literature, handwriting, mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. The pre-kindergarten or transitional kindergarten curriculum presents an active, Christ-centered, hands-on learning environment that includes all these elements as each child explores the foundational skills and learning opportunities.
Program Details:
- We serve children ages 2 years to 5 years.
- We offer flexible options for attendance.
- Half Day Program: 8:30-12:30
- Full Day Program: 8:30-3:00
- We offer Morning Care from 7:00-8:15
- We offer After Care from 3:15-5:30
- Holiday and Summer Camps are offered with an additional Camp Fee.
HCS is truly a home away from home. It is a blessing that I thank God for every single day. Knowing that my kids are loved and cared for by teachers and staff that uphold the same morals and values is something that I will never take for granted. God is using this school in a mighty way, and I’m so thankful to be a part of it. How great it is to know that my kids are taught every day that their identity is in Christ and not of this world. I couldn’t ask for a better representation of God, family, country.
