Elementary Campus

Meet our Art Teacher:
Our art program at HCS is directed and taught by Annalise Hunnicutt. She is a Biola grad who has a passion for students of all ages. Our preschool and elementary students participate in art class once a week. In class, our students explore God’s purpose for art in our world, where our creativity comes from, and how we can use art to the glory of our Creator.
Our junior high and high school students have the option to take art as an elective. Our students study renowned artists and their art, we study the elements of art, the principles of design, and the many styles and techniques of different media. Our students gain hands-on experience with graphite, watercolor, acrylic paints, charcoal, colored pencil, collage, and more.
In the spring, our students have the opportunity to display their artwork in an all-school Art Gallery, where awards and recognition are given, featuring art from our preschoolers all the way up to our seniors. Our art program is an exciting way for our students to gain first-hand experience and be exposed to the vast beauty of art.
