About our Elementary School
At Heritage Christian School, we are a caring elementary community committed to glorifying God through Christ-centered teaching, academic excellence, and Christian service. Guided by our mission, we partner closely with families to educate the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit—by weaving biblical truth into a strong and engaging academic program. Our teachers view their work as a calling, faithfully serving our students and families with love, purpose, and high expectations while modeling Christlike character. In a supportive and nurturing environment, we equip our students to grow in wisdom, faith, and a servant’s heart, preparing them to live out God’s truth each day.
Each grade level in our elementary school offers its own unique opportunities for growth, responsibility, and connection. Students participate in meaningful experiences such as prayer partners, allowing older and younger students to build relationships, encourage one another, and grow together in faith. Our students are given opportunities to serve others through age-appropriate service projects within our school and the surrounding community, helping them develop compassion, responsibility, and a heart for Christ. Learning is further enriched through day field trips and, as students grow older, overnight field trips that foster independence, teamwork, and real-world learning beyond the classroom.
In addition to core academics, students in elementary grades participate weekly in physical education, art, music, and library, with Spanish instruction offered in grades 4–6. These enrichment classes support the development of the whole child by encouraging creativity, physical wellness, cultural awareness, and a love of reading and learning. Elementary students are also encouraged to explore their God-given gifts through participation in sports, school musicals, and other enrichment activities that promote confidence, creativity, and collaboration.
They are intentional about the heart of each child, combining love and respectful boundaries. The HCS staff — thank you for your kindness when dealing with CONSTANT calls, kids and parents and chaos. The front staff is a HUGE part of school culture and the kindness from the front matters! For the more ‘behind the scenes jobs’, you are all so kind and I know I can have confidential conversations concerning our family’s needs.
