About our program

Heritage Christian School believes that athletics can be a very productive part of a child’s educational process. Athletics provide a tremendous opportunity for developing life skills such as commitment, hard work, team play, leadership and, most importantly, a strong Christian witness. Our athletic program strives to provide a safe environment for our student athletes to maximize their God-given abilities in a competitive setting and prepare them to play at the next level.

While every student at HCS receives regular physical education, we also offer after-school team athletics in grades 4-6, and we participate in the competitive Christian Athletic League of Orange County (CALOC) in grades 4-6. Participation in CALOC allows us to compete against other Christian schools in the greater Orange County Area. In addition, we offer a cheer program for our elementary students in grades 2–6. Our desire is that the love of God will shine through our student athletes.

Our program is supported by a passionate group of coaches who include both committed parent volunteers and dedicated school staff. Together, they bring experience, mentorship, and a shared desire to help students grow both on and off the field. Their leadership emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Over the years, our teams have built a strong tradition of success, earning multiple league championships across each sport we participate in. This sustained achievement reflects dedication, teamwork, and a culture of high expectations.

Elementary Sports

Meet our Elementary Athletic Director:

Our Elementary Athletics program is lead by Rachel Miles. She has been certified through the American Sport Education Program and the California Interscholastic Federation – CIF Coaching Education Program. Rachel has been a PE teacher and an athletic director for over 16 years in Christian education. She coached softball for 9 years and brought home the championship 6 times.
