Pre-School Frequently Asked Questions

What days and hours will you offer?
We currently offer 2, 3, 4 or 5 day programs. Half day programs from 8:00 am - 12:30 noon, Full day programs from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Will there be a school dress code?
Yes, the Preschool will closely follow the dress code of the Elementary school, with consideration for the children’s small size and dressing abilities.

Will your teachers be credentialed?
Yes, every teacher as well as aid, will meet state licebsing requirements.

How will the school calendar be designed?
Our Preschool is a year round program. We will be open 12 months out of the year. Our Holiday schedule will closely follow the S.V.U.S.D. calendar. We will offer Winter child care and Easter child care for those families needing care over the Holidays (minimal charge applies).

Will you offer a drop in Child Care program for families not attending the full day school program?
No, because of the size of our school and the need to staff at a lower ratio we will not accept drop in child care students.

Does the school provide lunch?
We do not provide lunch for the children, however we do offer a hot lunch program that families may purchase from.

Will the children go on any field trips?
All pre-school fieldtrips will be conducted as "in house". Several exciting, educational and fun events and activities will be scheduled throughout the school year.

What kind of enrichment programs will be offered?
A wide variety of activities will be available to all of our children. Offered during school hour will be Music and Movement, Art, Computer and Foreign Language (Spanish). Extracurricular activities may include Ballet and Tap, Weird Science and Gymnastics.
