Elementary Required Supplies List

Many of these supplies can be found at a "Dollar Store" or at Lakeshore Learning Center. Be sure to label ALL items and bring on the first day of school.

• 1 pkg sharpened #2 pencils
• 2 boxes of crayons
• 1 "enclosed" pencil sharpener that will "catch" all pencil shavings
• 1-4oz bottle of liquid white Elmers glue
• 12 small glue sticks
• 1 box colored pencils
• 1 ruler without the metric system on it
• 1 pair of pointed child scissors (left handed if your child is left handed)
• 2 boxes of 8 thick Crayola washable colored markers
• 1 pkg each thick/thin colored dry erase markers
• 1 (apprx. 8X10) whiteboard
• 1 box Crayola washable watercolor paints with brush
• 2 bottles of waterless antibacterial hand sanitizer
• 1 container Baby wipes
• 1 refillable, leak-proof water bottle with name written on it with permanent marker
• 1 pkg. varied colored construction paper
• 1 ream printer copy paper
• 1 ziplock bag with an extra set of labeled clothes for your child including socks
• 1 beach sized towel or blanket for rest time. Your child may also have a SMALL pillow

• The Adventure Bible (Hard Cover) NIrV Early Readers Version
  (can be used in first grade also) (Can be found at www.cbd.com, Borders or Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.)
• 1 PRIMARY (wide ruled-3 lines to a sentence) composition book
  (Can be found at Lakeshore Store or Target, etc.)
• 1 Plastic envelope-type file folder with Velcro closure, they will take "weekly reading books" home in this folder.
• 1 eraser "pen" with 2 refills
  (a long eraser in a plastic pen-like dispenser, this can be purchased at Staples or Office Max and they may have it at Target, expensive but well worth it) Please don't forget the refills to go with it.
• 1 "enclosed" pencil sharpener that will "catch" all pencil shavings, they have new ones that have a button that "pops" out the broken pencil lead inside the sharpener if needed.
• 12 small glue sticks
• 2 boxes colored pencils
• 1 ruler without the metric system on it
• 1box of 8 ,thick Crayola washable colored markers
• 1 pkg thin colored dry erase markers
• 1 (apprx. 8X10) whiteboard with PRIMARY wide rule
  (can be used in first grade also) (Can be found at Lakeshore Store or Target Stores)
• 1 box Crayola washable watercolor paints with brush
• 1 bottle of liquid antibacterial hand soap (pump style)
• 2 bottles of waterless antibacterial hand sanitizer
• 3 large boxes anti-viral Kleenex tissue
• 1 container Baby wipes
• 2 containers Lysol disinfectant wipes
• 1 refillable, wide-mouthed, leak-proof water bottle with name written on it with permanent marker, very important!
• 1 pkg. varied colored construction paper
• 1 ream white or varied colored cardstock
• 1 ream printer copy paper
• 1 ziplock bag with an extra set of labeled clothes for your child including socks, even if they don’t have "bathroom" accidents, you never know what else might happen during the day for which they will need a change of clothes.
• 1 "beach-sized" towel or blanket for rest time. We will have a 30-45 minute rest time. The students do not have to fall asleep but will be asked to rest their bodies. Your child may also have a SMALL pillow. (Because of the small storage space, I will have to o.k. the size of the blanket/towel and pillow. Some choices may be sent back home for a smaller ones.

• 1 Children’s Bible- Adventure Bible Early Readers NIV Edition ( preferred ) used in Kindergarten
• 8 -10 mechanical 0.9mm REFILLABLE pencils (the strongest) AND 3 pkgs. of 9mm refills
• 4 PRIMARY composition books: must have larger lines (with dashed line in the middle) AND large white space at the top for drawing pictures
• 3 packages of (4 or more) LARGE pink erasers
• 1 small bottle of Elmer's white glue (no gel glue please)
• 12 small glue sticks
• 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons
• 1 box 8 basic color CRAYOLA thin washable markers
• 1 package of thin dry erase BLACK markers
• 1 small package of 6-8 yellow highlighter pens (for paper)
• 1 small (approx. 8"x10") whiteboard-easy to hold (with line) *new HCS students only
• 1 small CRAYOLA watercolor paints with small brush
• 1 ream of white copy paper (500 sheets)
• 1 pair of Fiskar (children's) scissors
• 1 LARGE bottle: WATERLESS antibacterial hand soap (pump style)
• 2 boxes of large (anti-viral) Kleenex
• 2 containers of baby wipes

• Pencil sharpener with case
• 6 plastic folders (different colors) with pockets ; that can be 3-whole-punched; if possible one red, one blue, one yellow, one green, one white, one purple
• colored markers – both THICK and Thin
• Watercolors with brushes
• Pencil pouch for inside binder
• 1 eraser

• Loose-leaf paper (College Ruled)
